Week 3 Recap: Six Goals From One Man, a Seven-Goal Outburst, and a Forecast That Wouldn’t Cooperate

Outdoor Soccer in Toronto, Scarborough, Markham, North York, East York & Pickering | League Week 3 Results & Standings

If you’re searching for the best outdoor soccer league recap in Toronto, Scarborough, Markham, North York, East York, or Pickering, you’ve found it. Week 3 brought another wave of unforgettable performances across the GTA’s outdoor soccer scene β€” a flawless four-goal night from one striker, a seven-goal avalanche that nobody saw coming, and a round of fixtures that reminded everyone just how unpredictable a 90-minute match can be. Mother Nature tried to get in the way too, but she’ll have to wait until July to finish the job. Let’s get into it.

Division 2: M.Sattar Takes Over the League

Gullit Gang FC 5 – Watan FC 2

A Four-Goal Masterclass

Some players show up to a match. M.Sattar showed up to a highlight reel. Four goals in a single outing is the kind of stat line that gets typed into a group chat with three exclamation points, and Sattar earned every one of them as Gullit Gang FC ran out comfortable 5-2 winners over Watan FC. A. Abdalla added the fifth to round out the scoring, and Gullit Gang now sit 3rd in Division 2 with back-to-back wins to open their campaign.

Watan FC, meanwhile, continue to search for their first points of the season. N. Mobin and E. Richard both found the net, which is no small feat against a Gullit Gang side playing with this much confidence right now. The goals are clearly there for Watan β€” six scored across two matches already β€” it’s the other end of the pitch that needs sharpening up. With this much firepower up front, a result is coming.

We Dem Boys 4 – Barrio FC 2

The League’s Most Dangerous Attack Keeps Rolling

We Dem Boys have now scored 12 goals in two matches, and if that doesn’t make opposing defenders a little nervous heading into their fixture, nothing will. D. Browne bagged a brace, with E. Soumbas and T. Sivarajan joining the party in a 4-2 win that pushes We Dem Boys to 2nd in Division 2 with a +4 goal difference.

Barrio FC put up a real fight, with R. Erdmann and C. Mas both getting on the scoresheet, but it simply wasn’t enough to slow down a We Dem Boys attack that is starting to look like the most explosive unit in the division. Barrio sit 6th in the table and remain a side capable of scoring with anyone β€” they just ran into a buzzsaw this week.

Bafana 4 – Ctrl Alt De Ligt FC 1

Bafana Finds Their Scoring Boots

After a quieter opening week, Bafana turned the dial all the way up. S. Williams led the way with a brace, while F. Edobor and W. Khan each chipped in to seal a 4-1 win. A. Shubeita pulled one back for Ctrl Alt De Ligt FC, who sit 10th in the division but still boast a respectable +0 goal difference through two matches β€” proof that close, competitive soccer is the norm for this side. Bafana climb to 7th and look like a team finding its rhythm at exactly the right time.

Pique Blinders 6 – Azkals FC 2

Ibrahim Skeete Is a Problem

If you blinked, you missed three of these goals. Ibrahim Skeete bagged a hat-trick, and A. Cunha, A. Rene, and A. Williams each added one of their own as Pique Blinders put six goals past Azkals FC. Pique now sit 4th in Division 2 with a +5 goal difference and look like one of the most well-rounded attacking units in the league β€” they’ve now scored nine goals across their first two outings.

Jermaine Thorpe and Jerome Thorpe both scored for Azkals β€” a sibling double act worth keeping an eye on β€” but the rest of the afternoon belonged to Pique Blinders. Azkals will take the positives from their attacking output and look to tighten things up defensively in the weeks ahead.

Rafiki Taka 1 – Guanacos FC 2

Guanacos Get Off the Mark

Guanacos FC picked up a much-needed win, with E. Julison and S. Gunaratne each finding the net in a 2-1 victory. It’s a result that will do wonders for confidence after a tough start to the season. M. Gola scored a well-taken consolation for Rafiki Taka, who remain winless but have shown moments of real quality β€” the kind of performances that tend to turn into results once the bounce of the ball starts going their way.

Stugatz FC 1 – La Birk FC 1

Stalemate in the Stugatz Stadium

A. Lobozzo got Stugatz on the board, while T. Ashriq did the same for La Birk FC in a tightly contested 1-1 draw. Both sides will see this as a fair result against a side that came to play β€” Stugatz sit 12th and La Birk 13th, but neither table position tells the story of how competitive this one actually was.

Alianza 3 – CSC 2

Division 2 Leaders Survive a Scare

The league’s top side needed every bit of their quality to get past CSC this week. M. Moise scored twice and Z. Abideen added the third as Alianza held on for a 3-2 win, keeping their unbeaten start alive and stretching their record to 2-0-0 atop Division 2 with a ridiculous +8 goal difference. It was a last minute penalty kick in the final minute of play that was the determining factorΒ  in this match. CSC pushed them all the way, and a side currently sitting 9th in the table with this level of fight in them won’t stay there for long.

Division 1 & Division 3: Goals Everywhere You Look

S.C.S.C. 2 – Zaspani FC 3

D. Hall Strikes Three Times

D. Hall put on a show with a hat-trick to lift Zaspani FC to a 3-2 win over S.C.S.C. Zaspani now sit 2nd in Division 1, level on points with league-leaders Motion Boys. C. Lord and J. Exeter both scored for S.C.S.C., who continue to find goals hard to come by defensively but have shown they can trade chances with anyone in the division.

Markham United 1 – Metro FC 1

Two Division Leaders Share the Points

Markham United (3rd in Division 3) and Metro FC (2nd in Division 3) played out a tense 1-1 draw, with H. Mistry and M. Billy trading goals. Two of the division’s best sides splitting the points is a strong sign of just how competitive the race at the top is shaping up to be.

Toronto Phoenix FC 7 – Black Aces FC 0

Seven Different Names on the Scoresheet

This was as complete a performance as you’ll see all season. J. Chapman, F. Remtulla, N. Safi, Van DeSouza, C. McCrohan, Vassy DeSouza, and Jonathan L. all got on the board in a 7-0 dominant performanceΒ  that pushes Toronto Phoenix to 5th in Division 3 with a +4 goal difference. Black Aces FC will have a tough week processing this one, but every team has nights like this. What matters is the response, and this is a group with enough character to bounce back.

FC Kudas 7 – FC Vern 2

FC Kudas Continue Their Hot Start

J. Makhtar exploded for four goals, with M. Cross adding a brace and A. LeBlanc rounding out the scoring as FC Kudas dropped seven goals on FC Vern to remain top of Division 3, unbeaten through two matches with an outrageous +8 goal difference. S. Jeyakumar and L. Sivarajah scored for FC Vern, who sit 8th but have shown enough quality in attack to climb the table as the season progresses.

Rouge River FC 2 – Motion Boys 2

Top of the Table Held to a Draw

Motion Boys, the Division 1 leaders, were pegged back by Rouge River FC in a 2-2 draw. M. Ahmed and O. Ansari scored for Rouge River, while A. Mohammed and M. Tabit replied for Motion Boys, who remain top of Division 1 on goal difference but now know this title race will be contested fiercely.

Kroos Control 0 – Mad Lads FC 1

Ahsan Alvi Settles It

A single goal from Ahsan Alvi was enough to give Mad Lads FC a 1-0 win over Kroos Control. It was a tightly fought, low-scoring affair β€” proof that not every match in this league needs a flurry of goals to be entertaining.

Weather Update: Four Matches Rescheduled to July 19th

Mother Nature had her say this week. Excessive rain forced the postponement of four fixtures: GSA Alumni vs Unknown FC, Falcons FC vs Brill FC, Slip City FC vs Slime FC, and Indy FC vs Scarborough’s Finest. All four matches have been officially rescheduled for July 19th, so mark your calendars β€” there’s a packed slate of make-up games headed our way.

The Numbers That Matter

Division 1: Motion Boys and Zaspani FC sit level on 4 points apiece, with goal difference separating them at the top. Slip City remain unbeaten with a perfect record from their lone match.

Division 2: Alianza, We Dem Boys, and Gullit Gang FC are all tied atop the table with 6 points each β€” and with Alianza’s staggering +8 goal difference, this is shaping up to be one of the most entertaining title races in the league.

Division 3: FC Kudas lead the way unbeaten with a +8 goal difference, narrowly ahead of Metro FC and a hard-charging Markham United side.

Final Word

Three weeks into the season and the GTA’s outdoor soccer leagues across Toronto, Scarborough, Markham, North York, East York, and Pickering keep delivering performances that demand to be talked about β€” M. Sattar’s four-goal night, Daniel Hall’s hat-trick, and a seven-goal avalanche from FC Kudas all in the same week. Add in four rain-soaked rescheduled fixtures still to come on July 19th, and there is no shortage of soccer left to look forward to.

Week 4 is next. Don’t miss it.
